The Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of British Columbia supports basic research through interdisciplinary initiatives that have the potential to make important advances in knowledge. Founded in 1999, the Munk Centre includes many other well-established University of Toronto centres and institutes. The Centre seeks to be an internationally recognized leader in interdisciplinary academic research on global issues and to integrate research with teaching and public education. |

The Centre on Global Change and Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a cross-departmental initiative that brings together staff and students from a wide range of disciplines to contribute to the School's rapidly growing body of research on globalisation, environmental change and health. The Centre aims to bring together multidisciplinary expertise and experience from life sciences, public health and social sciences to understand and develop policy responses to the impact of globalisation on health and environment and to contribute to knowledge and action that addresses the adverse health and environmental impacts of globalisation notably worsening health inequity within and across countries. |
